Design Group, a Twin City based IT and industrial design consultancy,
has acquired The WhiteBoard LLC. The WhiteBoard is a holding company that
operated the exhibitdesign.com (exhibitdesign) systems exhibit wholesale
operation, as well as other businesses undergoing incubation, including
the Exhibit Planet™. The balance of the Whiteboard's intellectual
property will also be developed and, if viable, brought to market as well.
exhibitdesign, originally a wholesale exhibit systems distributorship, will be headed up by the former owner of exhibit design systems, a full service exhibit firm that was sold to a California company that subsequently ceased operations in Minnesota. “We are going to look at trade show exhibiting from an entirely new perspective” says Mark Bendickson, CEO of Contorno Design Group, “we have developed a process to position a client uniquely by looking at their trade show budget not as an expense, but as an investment”. exhibitdesign will craft programs for it’s clientele by taking a clients strategy and building a program around achieving their long term objectives while constantly measuring and improving the return on their marketing investment. exhibitdesign has developed
a ‘results matter’ process that more resembles the role
of an investment counselor than an exhibit builder. “Too many
exhibitors look at an exhibit purchase the way they buy a car. Make
a good purchase, drive it for a while and trade it in for something
new”, adds Bendickson, “an exhibit program needs to be managed
and change with your changing needs. We want to be a client’s
partner and collaborate with them to continually evolve the program
and maximize the return on the resources invested”. |
