There are different visions of design. As a design firm we have some strong opinions about what design is, and should be. Some designers talk about hot shapes and cool colors. That's not design, that's decorating. Good design not only looks good, it works well. An inventor came up with dental floss; a designer provided the clever little box with the built in cutter. Imagine how well dental floss would have caught on if you had to take it off of a spool, and cut it with a scissors. Good design matters. Design takes time. Spending an hour apiece with four or five prospective vendors and then having them return a few weeks later with a picture of what they want you to buy shouldn't be good enough for you. I'm not saying none of them are good, but no matter how good they may be, they are not as good as they can be. Design needs to be refined. Not 'drinking tea with your pinky out' refined. Refined as in refining oil into gasoline, or refining metal...refining as in removing the impurities. We beleive your interests are best served by a collaborative process that involves all your stake holders. We start with strategy, study your processes, prioritize your objectives and come up with a framework (programming) that meets your strategic goals. Then we get tactical, considering COA issues, physical requirements and process logistics. Then, and only then, does form follow function. Your brand is important, the look has to attract; but if it's just pretty and not smart you won't reach your goals. We use mind maps, brainstorming excercises, sketches, CAD programs, mood boards. We use whatever it takes to develop the concept from good, to great, to perfect. We not only design trade show exhibits and retail interiors, we've also done offices products and even business processes. There's no limit to what good design and attention to detail can improve. But we can only do it with your help. Good design is a collaboration, and we are looking forward to working with you. Design Services: Concept development
